How you can help the victims of the Haiti Earthquake

If you are atheist or secular and don’t feel comfortable giving money to Christian or other religion based charity organisations, you might be wondering just how you can help the victims of the Haiti Earthquake with much needed funds and assistance.

Support Doctors Without Borders in Haiti

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian organisation that has no religious ties, who provide medical aid to countries during times of war, disaster and need. They are currently raising money to provide emergency medical care to the people of Haiti. With over 100,000 dead, who knows how many injured and three major hospitals reduced to rubble, the people of Haiti definitely need their help.  It is also a fantastic way for those of us who are atheist to show that caring for people in their time of need is not solely the domain of religious organisations.
