The Pagan Calendar

Anniversary of the Consecration of the Mother Nemeton of the Caledonii Druidic Order.

Holy Day of Poseidon (Greek).

Today is an Egyptian day. Certain days of the year were thought by the Egyptians to be more difficult than the rest of the year. They tried to minimize any risky business and avoided starting new enterprises on such days. These dangerous dates have come to be called “Egyptian days” (Dies Aegyptiacae), and today (according to the old Alexandrian calendar) is one of them. The problems these days bring up seem to especially affect women – particularly those who are under the age of forty. I would be interested if anyone actually has a difficult day today. Let me know, okay?
