A blank page is not conducive to writing. Its blankness mocks you as if to say that nothing you write here will ever amount to nothing. This is probably why I am not a writer. I just don’t feel I can fill up the space on a blank page with anything worthwhile. I prefer instead to read the works of others and be envious of the ease in which they fill the blankness.
I guess I should put down some stats here. Basically it boils down to this – a 29 year old lesbian vet nurse in a long-term relationship struggling with weight loss and lost in a sea of uncertainness about not only my future, but the future of the world as we know it. Gee, what a happy picture I paint. Things are really not that bleak, trust me. I love my life, love my girlfriend, love my job and love my two dogs. I just wish the world was a better place to live some days, then again, don’t we all.
